Granite Mountain Stone Design traces its roots back to 1995 when Edward (Ed) Charles founded the residential stone fabrication branch of Coldspring's Canadian operations. Under Ed's leadership, the business flourished, boasting a diverse slab inventory of over 100 colours.
In a pivotal moment in October 2017, when Coldspring decided to exit Canada, Ed and his son Brent took decisive action to preserve 35 jobs. They acquired the countertop division, committing to staying in the province and upholding their contribution to the local economy.
